Welcome to our Sharp Middle School Family. I was fortunate enough to serve as Sharp Middle’s Assistant Principal beginning in 2013, and was blessed with the opportunity to become the Principal in 2016. It has been a wonderful, exciting experience so far, and we look forward to great things in the future.
Middle school can be the most difficult years for students and their parents, as students at this age struggle to figure out who they are, what direction do they want to follow, and who they want to become. Parents and teachers all work together in an attempt to guide our students in the proper directions as they work and grow through this process. There are times that really test everyone’s patience, but the end result is worth it when we get to observe our students mature over their 3 years of middle school and blossom into great young people who are prepared to begin the next phase of their life as high school students. I have worked with middle school students every year of my career since 1994, and that transformation is still my favorite part.
To help our students during this transformation, our staff stresses relationships and a family atmosphere in our building. We work very hard to build positive relationships with our students, and foster positive relationships between the students themselves. We care a great deal about teaching not just academic content, but also teaching our students how to learn and grow as a person. That’s what a family does, and we are proud of our Sharp Middle School Family.
Please feel free to contact me or any of our staff here at school if you need anything.
