Madison Wirth Signs with Union University

Congratulations to Madison Wirth who signed the National Letter of Intent to play soccer with Union University in Jackson, TN on February 3, 2016.

PHS Academic Team -- District Champs!

Congratulations to the PHS Academic Team for their outstanding job at District Competition this past weekend.  They won 1st Place in Quick Recall and 1st Place Overall and had many indiviidual winners.  Click "Read More"  below to see all of the individual winners.

District Governor's Cup Results

Sharp hosted District Governor’s Cup on Monday and Tuesday nights this week, and they also made a fabulous showing with teams and individuals, placing in 7 of 8 events.  Results were:

Evan Adams—tied for 4th in math; Braxton Ellis—4th place in arts and humanities; Mason Hardy—3rd place in math; Daniel Dietrich—3rd place in science; Allison Redden —2nd place in science; Charissa Reid—2nd place in language arts; Aaron Thomas—1st place in math; and Allison Redden—1st place in arts and humanities AND composition.  The team also placed 2nd in quick recall and 1st in FPS and Overall!!

Way to go, academic team!  Congratulations!                 

2015-16 Transportation Weather Plan

The district's "Weather Plan" may be put into effect when the majority of the county roads are open and a few of the more isolated roads are still deemed unsafe for bus travel. Wall of Fame Nominations Being Accepted

The Pendleton County Board of Education started, in 1993, recognizing outstanding graduates of Pendleton County Schools who have made outstanding contributions and/or achievements in their life.  This program was named “Wall of Fame” and each year recognizes a past Pendleton County Alumni who has made “unique and special contributions to society through their work or other notable activities.”  Each year the award recipient(s) are recognized during commencement exercises at Pendleton High School and their picture/bio portrait is displayed on the walls of the high school.  To be eligible for 2016 consideration, nominations must be received no later than March 25, 2016.

PCHS Announce 2016 Governor’s Scholar Nominees

Pendleton County High School announces that six juniors have been selected as our nominees to the 2016 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program (GSP).  This year’s nominees are: Rebecca Ammerman, Avery Booth, Holley Hart, Andrew Hicks, Seth Longworth, and Madison Sydnor.  These students will now be in competition with other students from across the commonwealth for one of the approximately 1,000 places in the 2016 summer program.

PC Retirees 13 Jerseys

In a continuing program to honor those past athletes who reached special levels of success as PCHS athletes, coaches or supporters, PC Athletics retired jerseys in the honor of 13 individuals who reached unprecedent level of success.


PCS Hosts Community-Wide Veterans Day Celebration
A wonderful celebration for our Veterans was held on Wednesday evening, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Pendleton High School Auditorium.

Safety is our first priority. In an effort to use every able resource to STOP bullying and other risky behaviors in our schools, Pendleton County Schools proudly announces the implementation of the “Safety Tipline Online Prevention” or STOP! Tipline.

2015-16 Opening Day Appreciation Celebration Breakfast

Opening Day Appreciation Celebration was held Thursday, August 6.   This is the 8th year for the celebration, which  brings our school personnel and our businesses, organizations, and churches together to support each other in our shared mission: to create a brighter future for our children and thus our community.  Following a delicious breakfast prepared by the food service managers, Superintendent Anthony Strong addressed the group and employees were recognized for years-of-service and model classrooms.

Transportation Department Announces 2015-16 Bus Routes

The Transportation Department is working diligently to organize bus routes so that students' travel times are held to a minimal.   Click here to view the revised  2015-16 Bus Route (by road).  All revisions from the original posting will be highlighted in yellow to help you.  Parents are urged to check back occasionally for any changes or updates.  For bus routes and additional transportation information, click the Transportation tab under Student Services.

Volunteers play an important role at Pendleton County Schools, whether a person assists a teacher with getting materials ready for class, attending a field trip, working one on one with students they are all essential.

Click "Read More" for more information, including required paperwork to be submitted to obtain/maintain active volunteer status.  The volunteer process takes at least one week so if you wish to chaperone field trips, do not delay in submitting the required paperwork.
