IMPORTANT NEWS
Kentucky Adult Education announced that the current version of the GED test will expire at the end of 2013. The current version known as the 2002 Series GED, will be replaced with the new 2014 GED test on January 2, 2014.
This is important for many reasons:
1) Former test scores will not transfer. If someone has passed 4 of the 5 tests and have not passed the 5th test before December 18, 2013, they will have to start over in 2014 with the new GED test.
2) The test will increase in cost from $60.00 to $120.00.
3) The test will change from paper and pencil to computer based only.
4) The test will be more challenging in several areas to meet the goals of " Stronger by Degrees" strategic agenda for Kentucky's colleges and unversities.
