You will be introduced to a number of technical and non-technical skills, including script writing, directing, and hands-on camera and studio skills such as lighting, sound and editing, green screen techniques and program. The working in and out of a school radio station. This course will also examine the history of video today and future trends. Class projects will include both news-oriented material and creative assignments.
Your grade will be determined by your total points divided by the points possible with the following percentages:
99-100 A+ 98-94 A 93 A-

How Do I Receive an A In This Class?
Follow the expectations of the class: Come to class prepared every day on time. Respect everyone and everything in the classroom. Do the work and try your hardest. Be honest in everything you do. Get involved and have fun.
If you meet all of these criteria, the rest will take care of itself.
You will turn in all of your work on time.
On any assignment you may turn it in late for half credit up to two days late.
If you are absent, you have two days to complete the work for every day you are gone.
It is your responsibility to find out what you missed and turn it in on time.
If you know ahead of time that you will miss class because of a school activity or other reasons, please see me about completing assignments, papers or tests before the absence.
We will be covering a large amount of information in a quarter. The purpose of this class is to introduce you to the world of broadcast journalism and our production capabilities here at Pendleton County. If you enjoy this class, we recommend that you try Broadcast Journalism B to learn more about television broadcasting.
The Sports Broadcasting Team and The News Casting Team : If you are interested in being a member of The Sports Broadcast team or The News Casting Team, you must: 1. Complete Broadcast Journalism 2. Excel in Broadcast Journalism.
1. Sports Broadcasting Team--Broadcast PCHS games, using sound board, video camera on Ihigh webpage.
2. News Casting Team-broadcast the school news on the school's sever. Write and proof read articles, and sports stories. Interviewing people for news articles. POD casting, (on cell phones)
3. Radio Station- Setting up and running a hands on station.
