I had a lot of fun doing my photo project. The first step was to learn how to use my mom’s Nikon Cool Pix camera. She taught me how to use it and then we practice taking a lot of pictures just for fun.  I had decided that I wanted to take a landscape picture or a picture of nature for my photo project. I love fall when the leaves start to change and I thought that would make a very good photo project.

On a Saturday my mom and I drove around to all the spots that we could think of and l took over 200 pictures!  We had spent all day taking pictures and we really hadn’t had time to look at them yet.  The next day after church my mom stopped at a cemetery where one of her friends is buried.  I sat in the car and waited. While I sitting in the car, I looked up and saw this beautiful red tree in the middle of the cemetery.  I knew that was what I wanted to take a picture of for my photo project immediately.

The cemetery is usually a really sad place, but I thought that this tree was something beautiful in a place that you usually don’t see beauty.  When my mom got back in the car I pointed out the tree to her and told her that was what I wanted to take a picture of for the project, even though we had taken over 200 the day before.  We drove all the way home and got the camera and then came back so I could take the picture. I ended up taking about 10 pictures of the tree. When I got home and looked at them I picked this one to use as the photo project because it was centered the best and not at all blurry.
