NES rocked the KPREP Test!!

Northern Elementary School is pleased to announce our results from the Spring 2014-15 Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (KPREP) test.

Our overall index, which combines scores from Grades 3, 4, and 5 and includes assessments in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts and Writing, was 71.9. This is an improvement from 65 last year.

This score put our school at the 80th percentile and we are rated as a Proficient and Progressing school.

(We were actually only 3.2 points away from classification as a Distinguished School, which is the highest level of recognition for KPREP scores!).

Test scores are only one small snapshot of “what makes a good school.” We already knew that our students, teachers and parents are GREAT, and the KPREP scores simply reaffirm that.

Please join us in congratulating your children and our teachers on a job well done. Thanks for all you do to support our school!
