Superintendent's Message

Dr. R. Anthony Strong, Ed.D

Dear Community Members,

Another school year is flying by here in Pendleton County.  As we will soon be entering the holiday season and half the school year will be behind us, our teachers and principals continue to work hard to meet the educational needs of our students.  In the past few weeks, tests scores were released and the students, teachers, support staff, and administrators in the district are extremely proud of our results.   Colorful signs decorate our campuses with the words:  “Congratulations Pendleton County Schools – Proficient School District”.  I would like to thank the students and staff for their hard work.

We believe there is no more important work done in our society than that of educating our children.  Our commitment to the community is to promote every educational opportunity for our students while providing a safe and nurturing environment for all.  We are very proud of our district and the collaborative efforts made in and out of the classroom that impact our students for a lifetime.

Each school in our district is unique, but all have excellent faculty and staff, outstanding students and good parental support.  Each one plays an integral part in our success as a district.  Whether you have a child in one of our schools or are a member of the community, we consider you a partner.  In Pendleton County education is a joint effort among the school and the community.  We encourage you to visit the schools, meet the faculty and staff, and tour the facilities.  Remember, "Achieving Greatness……Every Student, Every Day" is our vision that makes our school district a progressive district.

Browse the website to find schedules and information about our schools and activities.  I urge you to learn more about Pendleton County Schools and join us at our many events throughout the year as we continue to provide opportunities to showcase our district.
