  LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2019
 

Applications are available January 22nd through February 15th.  Deadline February 15th.  Applications will be available online.

1. 

Alan C. Hall Memorial Scholarship - senior attending any school in the Kentucky Community/Technical College System (Ex: Gateway, Bluegrass, Maysville, etc.).  1 at $400.

2. 

Betty Doutaz Memorial Southern Elementary PTO– must have attended Southern Elementary, grades K-6. 1 at $500.

3. 

Butler Baptist Church Scholarship– must be active in his/her church, including attendance and participation in activities.  1 at $500.

4. 

Butler Lions Club: must reside in Northern Pendleton Co.  Application qualifies students for Charles “Buster” Moreland Scholarship and the Louis McClanahan Memorial.  2 each at $500.

5.  Chris Wolfe Memorial – must be a varsity member of an athletic team.  2 at $500.
6.  Christopher Cox Memorial Scholarship – no specific criteria.  1 at $400.
7. 

Dale Kirsch Memorial Scholarship – PCHS senior involved in music in the community and/or high school.  1 at $500.

8. 

DeBra Kuempel Service Inc.  – must plan to major in engineering or vocational heating and air conditioning.  1 at $500.

9. 

Doug Dawson FFA Memorial Scholarship – active in PCHS FFA and planning to major in agriculture at a university or college or attending any program at a technical college.  1 at $1,000.

10.

Douglas R. Wright Leadership Scholarship – demonstrated leadership experience and potential, evidence of personal character, interest in community and service and commitment to personal growth.  Open to students pursuing a post-secondary degree. Renewable for up to four years.  1 at $1,000. 

11.

Earl & Ruby Wyatt Memorial – member of FBLA or DECA.  1 at $500, $250 will be awarded once in the Fall and once in the Spring.

12.

Eddie Wright Memorial Scholarship – no specific criteria.  1 at $500.

13.

Evan Charles People Memorialcompleting senior year at PCHS.  Priority given to students going into law enforcement, criminal justice or civil service.  2 at $1,000 each.

14.

Falmouth High School Alumni – open to seniors who have family that graduated/attended Falmouth High School.  3 at $500 each.

15.

Falmouth Rotary Club – no specific criteria.  Varies.

16.

Harry Gilbert Memorial – planning to attend Morehead State University or the University of Kentucky.  2 at $500 each.

17.

Heritage Bank Scholarship3 applicants will be chosen as finalist to attend a 15 minute interview at 10:30am on Friday, April 5th.  From here one will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.  All finalists who attend the interview will receive a $150 stipend.

18.

Hilltop StoneNo specific criteria. 1 at $500.

19.

Jacob Ammerman Memorial Scholarshipno specific criteria. 1 at $500.

20. Jennifer Butcher Memorial – graduating from PCHS and participant in girls or boys soccer team for at least 2 years. varies.
21.

Josh Browning Memorial Scholarship – No specific criteria.  2 at $500.

22.

Kentucky Blood Center/Power of Life Scholarship – must be able to demonstrate participation in some way in school or community blood drives with Central Kentucky Blood Center.  Varies.

23.

Kentucky Wool Festival, Inc. – No specific criteria.  10 at $1,000.

24.

Kincaid Regional Theatre – plan to major in performing arts, technical theatre field, music or dance.  1 at $500.

25.

Lois Campbell Wilson Memorial Scholarship – must be accepted at a university to earn a 4-year bachelor’s degree in teacher education, any grade level K-12.  1 at $1,000.

26.

Lu Lu & Harvey Record Memorial – must have participated in basketball or cheerleading during the senior year.  1 at $500.

27.

Mark A. Ross Memorialgraduating PCHS senior attending a college/university/technical school overcoming some type of adversity in life.  Varies.

28.

National Wild Turkey Federation Minimum 2.5 gpa, must be an active participant in hunting sports. 1 at $400

29.

Northern Elementary Margaret Morford Memorial – must have attended Northern Elementary.  1 at $500.

30.

Pam Crawford Memorial Scholarship gpa of 3.0 or higher. 1 at $500

31.

Partners of Kincaid Lake State Park No specific criteria.  1 or 2 at $500.

32.

P.C.H.S. Band Booster & Alumni Scholarship – must be actively involved in P.C.H.S. band or chorus program.  1 at $500.

33.

P.C.H.S. Principals’ Scholarship – Must have financial need.  1 at $1,000. 

34.

Pendleton Co. 4-H Youth Development Scholarship – enrolled in and active 4-H member.  Varies.

35.

Pendleton Co. 109 Solid Waste Management Board Scholarship – Not awarded until Spring semester of freshmen year after proof of 2.75 gpa or higher is shown.  Varies.

36.

Pendleton Co. Class of ’78 – must have some relation, preferably immediate (ex. Child/grandchild) of an alumni of PCHS class of ’78.  1 at $500.

37.

Pendleton Co. Beef Cattle Assoc. – PCHS grad planning to enter Ag. related field or currently living on a farm.  1 at $500.

38.

Pendleton Co. Cooperative of Churches – must be active in local church.  3 at $500.

39.

Pendleton Co. Education Association – no specific criteria. 1 at $300.

40.

Pendleton Co. Education Foundation Managed Scholarships – open to 4-year college students and vocational/technical/community school students.  This application qualifies students for the following scholarships administered by the PCEF:  Tom & Georgia (Tippy) Moreland, PCEF/Mary Lou Purdy-Matthews, Class of 1960, Class of 1962, Lucille Abernathy Memorial Scholarship, Carolyn Paynter Memorial Scholarship, and the Virgilene Ritter Moore Scholarship.  Varying amounts.

PCEF Comm. College/Trade School Scholarship – this application qualifies students for the following scholarships administered by PCEF: Tom and Georgia (Tippy) Moreland Trust for Community or 2 year college and the PCEF scholarship for community/technical/2 year college. Varying amounts

42.

Pendleton Co. Extension Homemakers – must be a child or grandchild of Homemaker Club member.  2 at $800.

43.

Pendleton Co. Farm Bureau Federation – family must be members of Farm Bureau Insurance.  2 at $500.

44.

Pendleton Co. FFA Alumni Scholarship - available to graduating PCHS seniors active in FFA with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and planning to attend a trade school, 2-year or 4-year college.  2 at $500.

45.

Pendleton Co. FFA Alumni/Mark Ross Scholarship - available to graduating PCHS seniors active in FFA with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and planning to attend a trade school, 2-year or 4-year college.  1 at $500.

46.

Pendleton Co. Recreation Commission played recreation sports. Varies.

47.

Pendleton Co. Soil Conservation District – must be planning to study agriculture or any area of conservation.  2 at $500 each.

48.

Pendleton Co. Youth Fair Must have participated in Youth Fair activities. $2 at 500

49.

P.T.S.O. Sidney Pribble MemorialNo specific criteria.  2 (1 male and 1 female) at $100 each.

50.

Richard Gulick/Bobby Wood Memorial – No specific criteria.  Varies.

51.

Stella Rice Spanish Club Memorial Scholarship Must have been a member of Spanish Club. 2 at $500 each.  

52.

Stephen A. Delaney Memorial – planning to study drafting, carpentry or engineering.  1 at $250.

53.

US Bank – must be a customer of US Bank with preference to a student intending to major in a business or banking and finance field.  1 at $500.

54.

William Leising III, Memorial Scholarshipplan to major in science field.  2 at $500

55.

Woodman Life – preference given to students whose family is a member of Woodman of the World.  3 amount varies

56.

Zachary Joseph Heringer Memorial – 3.0 cumulative GPA on unweighted 4.0 scale and a minimum of 1 full school year at PCHS.  1 at $750.
