"If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom and yet deprecate agitation are men who want crops without plowing the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the roar of its mighty waters." ~ Frederick Douglass
My name is Eileen Tierney Baker and I teach English I and English II at Pendleton County High School.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Literature and Writing, my Master's Degree in Secondary Education and English, and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2011. My philosophies are simple:
1. Every student can succeed.
2. We must become life-long learners.
I am always happy to do whatever I can to help my students. If you need to contact me for anything, please email or call and I will get right back with you!
