Summer Food Service Program
Open Site Free Meal Policy Statement
Pendleton County Board of Education has agreed to participate in the Summer Food Service Program and accepts responsibility for providing Program benefits to eligible children in the site(s) under its jurisdiction.
The Sponsor assures the Kentucky Department of Education that although there is no separate charge established for meals, it will uniformly implement the following policy. In fulfilling its , the sponsor:
A.. Agrees that in the operation of the Program, no child shall be discriminated against because of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability: and
B. Agrees to announce in the media serving the area from which it draws its attendance the availability of free meals. The announcement shall include the following statement:

"In accordance with Federal Law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

Pendleton County School District is seeking ideas on School Nutrition and Wellness feedback on the School Nutrition and Wellness policy. This report is provided in compliance with KRS 158.856 as an overview of the nutrition and physical activity available in the Pendleton County School system with the recommendation for areas of improvement. The Board will review any recommendations offered by the general public in developing a plan to be implemented in the 2019-20 school year. Please review the Report under the wellness tab and provide any comments or recommendations to the Pendleton County Schools Food Service Director, Lisa Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org
